All of NUMC's behavioral services are fully accredited
on a federal level by the Joint Commission, on
a state level by the N.Y. State Office of Mental
Health, and on a local level by the Nassau County
Dept. of Mental Health, and by the Department
of Health. All facilities are inspected on a regular
basis according to a timetable set by the regulatory
body, but also on an unannounced, random basis
as decided by each oversight agency.
