Dr. Sadoff matriculated at Cornell University as a scholar-athlete in 1971 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1975. During that time he also served as the Cornell Exchange Scholar in Uppsala, Sweden from 1973-74. He went on and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, in accelerated fashion, graduating Cum Laude from the NYU College of Dentistry in 1979. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) residency as Chief Resident at Nassau County Medical Center (NCMC) in 1983 and then spent the next 5 years in the group practice of OMS in Rockville Center, N.Y. During that time he obtained his Board Certification in OMS (1985) and in 1988 made his return to NCMC. By 1991 he had been appointed Chairman of Dental Medicine, as well as Director of Advance Residency Training in OMS, all of which coincided with the untimely passing of his beloved NCMC mentor and friend, Dr Gerry Cozzi. He has held these positions ever since.

During his tenure at the Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), Dr. Sadoff has trained and graduated many outstanding Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and General Dentists. The General Practice Residency is well recognized and, has received many commendations over the years. The OMS Residency is highly recognized as of only one of one hundred nationally, is highly sought after by potential candidates, and boasts a 100% Board Certification rate of its' graduating OMS residents dating back to 1990.

As a Clinical Associate Professor at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Sadoff is active in many professional organizations, has received grants totaling over one million dollars, has served on numerous committees, has authored over 20 publications and has been an invited guest lecturer numerous times.

The goal for his Department remains the continuous provision of the highest quality and safest patient care possible, while concomitantly providing an excellent residency educational experience. He continues to strive to compassionately meet the growing need for universal access to Oral Health Care in all of the communities we serve.
