The Department of Neurology has full time, part time/sessional and voluntary attendings on staff. Satish Kadakia M.D. is Chairman of the Department of Neurology. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special competence in Child Neurology and by the American Board of Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental disabilities and eligible for neurophysiology. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at SUNY-Stony Brook and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at NYCOM. Imran Wahedna M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Internal Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at SUNY- Stony Brook and is fellowship trained in Electrodiagnostic Medicine (electromyography) and neuromuscular disorders. Nadeem Shabbir M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special competence in Child Neurology, by the American Board of Pediatrics, and by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Bernard Berkowitz M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at SUNY- Stony Brook.
