The Department of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Nassau
University Medical Center is the largest and
most complete service center of its kind in
Nassau County. It provides complete care to
adults, adolescents and children. Our goal is
to prevent and/or correct patient pain, suffering
and disability, and to help the patient regain
function to the greatest extent possible.
The 30-bed inpatient service, along with one
of the largest outpatient services to be found
on Long Island, provides treatment and visits
to more than 7,000 patients per year.
Each of the attending physiatry physicians of
the department is Board Certified in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation and holds an academic
title at the State University of New York at
Stony Brook School of Medicine and at New York
College of Osteopathic Medicine.
