Pediatric Services
Our Pediatric Services Since the 1930’s the
department of pediatrics has provided excellence
in patient care and patient education to the
communities surrounding our medical center.
The department is a major training site for
physicians and allied health professionals.
Our residency-training program was the first
to be established on Long Island.
Health services for children are provided
in our hospital and in our outpatient
offices. These include services for:
• General or Primary Care Pediatrics
• Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
• Pediatric Allergy and Immunology
• Pediatric Infectious Diseases
• Pediatric Neurology
• Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
• Genetics
• Pediatric Cardiology
• Pediatric Nephrology
• Neonatology
• Pediatric Critical Care

These services are provided in our state of
the art pediatric wards, newborn nursery, neonatal
intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric intensive
care unit (PICU), modern ambulatory facilities
and the Emergency Department, which is open
24 hours a day.
Currently there are 18 full time board certified/eligible
pediatricians and specialists to provide care
for children from birth through adolescence.

Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm For
