ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES FOR LABOR RELATIONS - PT

Supervise goals and objectives of Nassau Health Care Corporation's Labor Relations programs. Requires knowledge of government legislation, FLSA, Worker's Compensation and other regulatory agencies. Work with Management and Union officials to successfully mediate labor disputes including individual complaints and grievances. Must have extensive knowledge of the principles of Labor Relations including federal, state and local legislation as it relates to hospital labor relations. Thorough knowledge of contract administration, mediation and grievance resolution is necessary. The ability to work closely with Legal Counsel and to communicate effectively in writing and orally is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years supervisory experience in the public sector, including or supplemented by four years of labor relations experience in the public or private sector at the Director or Assistant Director level. A Master's degree in Labor Relations or Personnel Management may be substituted for one year of nonspecific supervisory experience.

The Sterile Processing Department at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow Long Island New York is looking to hire 1 Full time and 1- 4/10employees.
