Dental Medicine & Oral Surgery Services

Our department has been compassionately serving the oral health care needs of the community for almost 40 years. We offer a full range of Dental and Oral Surgical services, both emergent and elective in nature, that are of high quality, personalized and delivered in a culturally sensitive manner.

We are dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support two fully accredited and specially recognized residency-training programs with multiple centers of excellence. Our faculty and staff provide over 10,000 visits/ per year in various settings such as outpatient, emergency room, ambulatory surgery, inpatient consultations and inpatient surgical admissions. We respond to the needs of children, adults, the elderly, and physically and emotionally challenged. We also serve the needs of the indigent by offering a reduced fee for service format as well as accepting straight Medicaid for elective dental services.

We provide a safety net for public access to oral health care by offering access to underserved communities where disparities in health care may exist. In addition we act as a tertiary care center for referral of cases from the Community Health Centers, the A. Holly Patterson Skilled Nursing Facility and other providers in the Nassau Health Care Corporation.
